One Paper.—300 marks—3 hours.
Military history.

MARKS REQUIRED TO QUALIFY.
To qualify for a certificate, a candidate must obtain 0·4 of the marks allotted to each theoretical paper or practical subject, and 0·6 of the marks allotted to the compulsory portion of the whole examination (theoretical and practical).
A candidate who fails in one theoretical paper or in one practical subject only, but obtains 0·6 in the remainder of the compulsory examination, will be required to undergo re-examination in that paper or subject only.
A candidate who fails in more than one paper or subject, or in the aggregate, must undergo the whole examination again.
A candidate who fails at his first examination will not be allowed to present himself for re-examination until a period of three months from his first examination has elapsed.
