For a site for public buildings of the General Government.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Town of Rangataua, Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 3 perches, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block IX, Town of Rangataua. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 14, Block V, Karioi Survey District; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block IX, Town of Rangataua; towards the south-east by Piwari Street; and towards the south-west by Section No. 6 of said Block IX: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5317/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a site for a public school.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres and 5 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 6 and 7, Block IX, Town of Rangataua. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 14, Block V, Karioi Survey District; towards the north-east by Section No. 5 of Block IX, Town of Rangataua; towards the south-east by Piwari Street; and towards the south-west by Section No. 8 of said Block IX: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5317/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a public recreation-ground.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being Section No. 8, Block IX, Town of Rangataua. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 14, Block V, Karioi Survey District; towards the north-east by Section No. 7, Block IX, Town of Rangataua; towards the south-east and south by Piwari Street; and towards the south-west by the Ohakune–Waiouru Main Road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5317/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue. For a site for a public hospital.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block X, Town of Rangataua. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 2, Block X, Town of Rangataua; towards the north-east by Kaha Street; towards the south-east by Marino Street; and towards the south-west by Section No. 9 of said Block X: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5317/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green. For a site for public buildings of the General Government.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

JAMES FRAME, and
DONALD MORRISON

to be Trustees, in the place of Thomas Robertson, deceased, Donald Campbell, Thomas Henderson, and Alexander Robertson, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Herbert Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Adam Anderson, previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

to be a Trustee, in the place of Peter Andersen, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Midhirst Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Alexander Brown, Dominick Fischer, William Hathaway, and Samuel Milne Porritt, previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
