Opening Lands in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

These sections are situated on Hawea Flat, within easy distance of a post-office. The land is flat and dry, and the soil is of fair quality though somewhat light.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Clutha County.—Woodland Survey District.

A bush section, with soil of fair quality. A large proportion of the section is fairly level. Situated about eight miles by a formed road from Catlin’s River Railway-station. The nearest school is from three miles and a half to four miles distant.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Town of Ninia, Wellington Land District.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 7, Town of Ninia. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 6, Town of Ninia; towards the north-east by Mangere Street; towards the south-east by Section No. 8; and towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 16 and 17: as the same is delineated on the plan L. 5325/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue. For a site for a post-office.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 33, Town of Ninia. Bounded towards the north-west by a road and river-bank reserve along the bank of the Omarae Stream; towards the north-east by Section No. 31; towards the south-east by the Wangaehu Valley Road; and towards the south-west by Section No. 35 and by the road and river-bank reserve aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5325/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a site for a public school.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 10·8 perches, more or less, being Section No. 19, Block I, Town of Horopito West. Bounded towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 20, 21, and 22, Block I, Town of Horopito West; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 23 and 18 of said Block I; and towards the south-east by Horuhoru Terrace. For gravel purposes.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 29·9 perches, more or less, being Section No. 9, Block IX, Town of Horopito West. Bounded towards the north-west by Hohere Road; towards the north-east by Crown land, and by Section No. 2, Block XVI, Manganui Survey District; and towards the south-east by Section No. 8, Block IX, Town of Horopito West. For gravel purposes.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 4 and 15, Block XIII, Town of Horopito West. Bounded towards the north-west by Hutotoi Road; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 3 and 16, Block XIII, Town of Horopito West; towards the south-east by Horoeka Road; and towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 5 and 14 of said Block XIII. For a site for a post-office.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 5 and 14, Block XIII, Town of Horopito West. Bounded towards the north-west by Hutotoi Road; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 4 and 15, Block XIII, Town of Horopito West; towards the south-east by Horoeka Road; and towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 6 and 13 of said Block XIII. For a site for public buildings of the General Government.
