Validating Valuation-list prepared for the Borough of Roxburgh.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of July, 1909.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Council of the Borough of Roxburgh inadvertently omitted to give public notice once in each week between the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and the fifteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine, that the valuation-list of the said borough was open for inspection, as required by the thirteenth section of “The Rating Act, 1908”:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the said valuation-list shall be deemed to be valid, notwithstanding that public notice that the said list was open for inspection was given only twice within the period above mentioned, instead of once in each week.

Validating District Electors Roll, Borough of Roxburgh.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of July, 1909.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the district electors roll of the Borough of Roxburgh for the year one thousand nine hundred and nine was prepared and completed after the time required by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the district electors roll of the Borough of Roxburgh for the year commencing from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine, so prepared and completed as aforesaid shall be and be deemed to have been as valid to all intents and purposes as though the same had been prepared and completed within the time required by the said Act and the regulations thereunder.

Making a Regulation under “The Government Advances to Settlers Act, 1908.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of “The Government Advances to Settlers Act, 1908,” there is established a reserve fund, which shall consist of such sum, not being less than fifty thousand pounds, as His Excellency the Governor from time to time by Order in Council directs:

And whereas such reserve fund at the date hereof consists of the sum of fifty thousand pounds:

And whereas it is desired to increase such reserve fund from the sum of fifty thousand pounds to the sum of one hundred thousand pounds by transferring the sum of fifty thousand pounds from the Profit and Loss Account of the Government Advances to Settlers Office to the said reserve fund:

Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred by the said section twenty-six, subsection one, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the said reserve fund shall, from the date of the transfer of the said sum of fifty thousand pounds, consist of the sum of one hundred thousand pounds.

Lands at Palmerston North to be Sanctuaries for Imported and Native Game.

PLUNKET, Governor.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be sanctuaries for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said areas.

SCHEDULE.

WATERWORKS RESERVE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 209 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, being Section No. 273, Block IV, Arawaru Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 272, towards the south-east by forest reserve, towards the south-west by Section No. 274, and towards the north-west by Turitea Road.

ESPLANADE.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 39 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, being portion of Rural Section No. 1536 on the plan of the Borough of Palmerston North. Bounded towards the north-west by a line 1 chain distant from and parallel to the right bank of the Manawatu River, commencing at the north-eastern boundary-line of Rural Section No. 373, and proceeding to the north-eastern boundary-line of the land known as the Racecourse; thence towards the south-west by the said land known as the Racecourse to a point 3 chains distant from the right bank of the Manawatu River; thence towards the north generally by a line 3 chains distant from and parallel to the right bank of the said Manawatu River to Fitzherbert Street; thence by a right line to the south-western corner of Subdivision No. 11 of Rural Section No. 1536; and thence by the said Subdivision No. 11 to a Native reserve; thence towards the south-east by the said Native reserve; thence towards the south and east by the right bank of the Manawatu River; and again towards the south-west by Rural Section No. 373 aforesaid.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto from that named therein to that named in the second column thereof.
