Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by Section No. 5, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District, 750·1, 400, and 750·1 links respectively ; and towards the north-west by Mangarino Road, 399·9 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5248/1A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple. For a site for a public school.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3, Block XII, Orahiri Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 1, Block XII, Orahiri Survey District, 1200·5 links ; towards the east by Mangarino Road, 209·5 and 226·9 links ; towards the south by Section No. 2, Block XII aforesaid, 1294·9 links ; and towards the west by Pukeroa Hangatiki, No. 4D Block, 448·2 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5248/1B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For quarry purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by Section No. 72, Okaihau Parish, 200 and 500 links respectively ; towards the south-east by a public road, 200 links ; and towards the south-west by Section No. 23 of the aforesaid parish, 500 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 55969/5A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a mechanics’ institute and athenæum.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 72, Okaihau Parish. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by Section No. 25, Okaihau Parish, 1000 and 760 links respectively ; towards the south-east by a public road, 600 links ; towards the south-west by Section No. 78 of the said parish, 500 links ; again towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 78 and 23 of the said parish, 400 links ; again towards the south-west by Section No. 22 of the said parish, 260 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 55969/5B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a public recreation-ground.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 16·5 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3664A (in red), situated in Rakaia Village Settlement, Block XIII, Rakaia Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Reserve No. 3664, 1002·1 links ; towards the north-west by Reserve No. 3664, 1001·3 links ; again towards the north-east by Reserve No. 3665A, 100 links ; towards the south-east by Baker Road, 1101·3 links ; towards the south-west by Ulundi Road, 1102·1 links ; and again towards the north-west by Section No. 20x, 100 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For an addition to a cemetery reserve.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 16·2 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3665A (in red), situated in Rakaia Village Settlement, Block XIII, Rakaia Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a road-line, 100 links ; towards the south-east by Baker Road, 851·4 links ; towards the south-west by Reserve No. 3664A, 100 links ; and towards the north-west by Reserve No. 3665, 851·4 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For an addition to a plantation reserve.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 5240/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and nine.
