A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William
Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner
of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of
the Hawke’s Bay County Council, being the local authority
in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a
road the land in Clive Survey District described in the
First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like
consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described
in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by
reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

All in the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured
as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minis-
ter of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and
its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of
the said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this thirtieth day of June, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and nine.

Declaring Land to be subject to Part I of “The Native
Land Settlement Act, 1907.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day
of July, 1909.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section four of “The Native Land Settle-
ment Act, 1907,” it is enacted that, when and as
often as the Commission referred to therein has reported to
the Governor that any Native land is not required for occu-
pation by the Maori owners, and is available for sale or
leasing, it shall be lawful for the Governor by Order in
Council to declare that such land shall be subject to Part I
of the said Act as from the date of such Order, and the same
shall thereupon become, and at all times thereafter remain,
subject to the said Part I of the said Act accordingly: And
whereas the said Commission has reported that the Native
lands specified in the Schedule hereto are not required for
occupation by the Maori owners, and are available for sale or
leasing:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers in
this behalf vested in him by the aforesaid section four, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council thereof, doth hereby declare that the Native lands
specified in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date of
this Order, be subject to Part I of “The Native Land Settle-
ment Act, 1907.”

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 4,800
acres, more or less, situated in the Kaiwaka Survey District,
in the Land District of Wellington, and known as Waitutuma
Block. Bounded towards the north by Waitutuma Nos. 1B
and 1A No. 1 Blocks, towards the east generally by a forest
reserve, towards the south by the ocean, and towards the
west generally by Waitutuma Stream, Matakitaki Block,
Mangatoetoe Stream, Kawakawa Block, and the Otakoha
Stream.

All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
7,772 acres, more or less, situated in the Kaiwaka Survey
District, in the Land District of Wellington, and known as
Waitutuma No. 1A No. 7 Block. Bounded towards the
north by Waitutuma Nos. 1A No. 3 and 1A No. 2 Blocks,
towards the east by a forest reserve, towards the south by
Waitutuma No. 1A No. 1 Block, and towards the west
generally by Waitarangi and Te Kopi Blocks.

All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 200
acres, more or less, situated in the Kaiwaka Survey District,
in the Land District of Wellington, and known as Waitutuma
No. 1B Block. Bounded towards the north and south-east by
Waitutuma No. 1A No. 1 Block, towards the south-west by
Waitutuma Block, and towards the north-west generally by
the Otakoha Stream.
