Note.—Cool and dry weather prevailed. Total bright sunshine, 237 hrs., with sunshine every day. Earth temperatures rose from 56° at both 1 ft. and 3 ft. depths to 59° and 58°, the means being 59·8° at 1 ft. and 56·8° at 3 ft. Mean relative humidity, 72 per cent.; mean dew-point, 49·4°; and mean elastic force of vapour, 0·353 in.
