Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Taranaki Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for a public recreation-ground.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 acres and 4 perches, more or less, being part
of Suburban Section No. 35, Town of Mangaroa (Block V,
Ohura Survey District). Bounded towards the north-west
and north-east by Hihi Street, and towards the south-east
by other part of said Section No. 35 ; as the same is de-
lineated on the plan marked L. 1014/17, deposited in the
Head Office of the Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and nine.

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Police-station in
the Canterbury Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first sec-
tion of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Canterbury Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a police-station.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Reserve
No. 3786, situated in Block VI, Culverden Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, towards
the south-east and south by a railway reserve, and towards
the north-west by Crown land ; as the same is delineated on
the plan marked L. 5304/5, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and nine.

Extending Close Season for Trout in Hawera Acclimatisation
District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by section ninety-three of “The Fisheries
Act, 1908,” it is provided that the close season for
trout throughout New Zealand shall begin on the first day of
May in each year, and extend to the thirtieth day of Sep-
tember following : Provided that, upon the written appli-
cation of any duly registered acclimatisation society, the
Governor may, by notice in the Gazette, further extend such
season in any particular district or portion thereof :
And whereas the Hawera Acclimatisation Society, a duly
registered acclimatisation society, has made written appli-
cation for the extension of the close season for trout as
herein set forth, and it seems expedient to grant such
application :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify
that the close season for trout in the Hawera Acclimatisation
Society’s district (which comprises the Counties of Hawera
and Patea) shall begin on the first day of April in each year,
and extend to the following thirtieth day of September, both
days inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-ninth day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and nine.

the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of “The
Justices of the Peace Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron
Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby notify and declare that

being a person holding the office of Postmaster under “The
Post and Telegraph Act, 1908,” at Gorge Road, is autho-
ris ed to take and receive statutory declarations under the
two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of “The Justices of
the Peace Act, 1908.”
