Land taken for the Purposes of an Electric-power Station
in the City of Auckland.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1908,” for a certain work, to wit, for the purposes of an
electric-power station in the City of Auckland:
And whereas the Council of the City of Auckland has laid
before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and
also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
“The Public Works Act, 1908,” and “The Municipal
Corporations Act, 1908,” and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the
publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of an electric-power station in the City of Auckland, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and
Citizens of the City of Auckland.

Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land

Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of May, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and nine.

the Borough of Napier:

also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
