Land in the Township of Leeston taken for a Post-office.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1908,” for a post-office:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a post-office as aforesaid; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eleventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

SCHEDULE.

The parcel of land taken:—

Approximate Area of the Parcel of Land taken. Being Portion of Situated in Block No. Situated in the Coloured on Plan
A. R. P. 0 2 4·8 Section No. 26 (Township of Leeston) XIV Leeston Survey District Red.

In the Land District of Canterbury; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 24652, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured as above.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block XIII, Moawhango Survey District, taken for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, and it has been considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Public Works that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the County of Waimarino, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation, and appears to be the local authority most capable of conveniently and effectively controlling and maintaining the said road:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be maintained by the Waimarino County Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Additional Land in Block IX, Reefton Survey District, taken for the Midland Railway (Extension from Reefton to Inangahua).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Midland Railway (extension from Reefton to Inangahua) to take further land in Block IX, Reefton Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes hereinbefore specified.
