NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR
STREET-WIDENING PURPOSES IN THE CITY
OF DUNEDIN.
In the matter of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,"
and "The Borough of South Dunedin Empowering Act,
1904," and in the matter of "The Public Works Act,
1908."
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of
Dunedin proposes, under the provisions of "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," and "The Borough of
South Dunedin Empowering Act, 1904," to take, under the
provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1908," the land
mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto for the
purpose of widening King Edward Street (formerly known
as Hillside Road), in the City of Dunedin. And notice is
hereby further given that a plan showing the land required
to be taken, together with the names of the owners and
occupiers of such land so far as they can be ascertained,
is deposited in the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall,
situate in the Octagon, in the said city, and is open for
public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of
the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objection
to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the said City Council, addressed
to the Town Clerk at the offices of such Council, situate in
the Octagon aforesaid.
