The section is suitable for pastoral purposes. Altitude, about 1,350ft. above sea-level. About 216 acres of swamp land, with good cattle-feed; about 932 acres of undulating bush land, with light red-birch and brown-birch, the soil being light, on a clay subsoil. Watered by streams. Accessible from Warwick Junction Accommodation-house by dray-road, a distance of about eight miles; thence by river-bed and unformed road, a further distance of about eleven miles: also accessible from Reefton by about sixteen miles of good dray-road and about fourteen miles of pack-track. Both routes are under construction. Sale plan 150.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
PLUNKET, Governor.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by "The Land Act, 1908," I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the fourteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Soil of good quality, on volcanic formation; well watered by stream. Situated about eleven miles from Tauranga and within half-mile of the Oropi School.

Altitude, 20 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level. Broken land, covered with fern and manuka; somewhat stony; about 15 acres of fair quality; soil on remainder, inferior clay on blue-rock formation; well watered by streams. Access is from Whitianga by ferry across harbour, thence by formed track about two miles, thence across creek.

Situated about three miles from Taheke by fair bullock-road, very steep in places.

Fronts main coach-road, about twelve miles from Hikurangi Railway-station and three miles from Whananaki.
