Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the public work hereinbefore mentioned; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of May, 1909.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and seventy-eight of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that where the configuration of any borough is such as that within any particular area or areas it is difficult or inexpedient to lay off streets of the width of sixty-six feet as required by this Act, on application by the Council the Governor may, by Order in Council defining the limits of such particular area or areas, authorise the Council to permit within such area or areas the laying-off of streets and private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet:
And whereas the configuration of the Borough of Roslyn is such that within the area described in the Schedule hereto it is inexpedient to construct a street of sixty-six feet in width:
And whereas the Council of the Borough of Roslyn has made application to the Governor in Council for an Order in Council authorising the Council to permit, within the area described in the Schedule hereto, the laying-off of a street of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet:

ALL that piece of land in the Otago Land District, Borough of Roslyn, comprising Lots 1 to 13 inclusive and proposed new road, being part of Block IX, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and part of Section 9, Block IV, Upper Kaikorai Survey District; as the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 10744, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured with a red border.

Declaring Roads in the Waikohu County to be County Roads.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waikohu County, known as the Motu to Motu Bridge Road, commencing at a point 6 chains west of the north-western corner of Section 10, Block III, Motu Survey District, and running in a north-easterly direction generally, ending at a point 10 chains west of the north-eastern corner of Section 11, Block III, Motu Survey District, a distance of 66 chains, more or less.
Also all that road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waikohu County, known as the Waikohu Valley Road, commencing at its junction with Neill Road, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of 2 miles 12 chains, more or less, and ends at a point 15 chains west of the north-eastern boundary of Section 4, Block III, Ngatapa Survey District.
As the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plans marked R. 9641 and 9641A, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as the Turakina Valley Road, commencing at its junction with the Okaka Road, and proceeding generally in a northerly direction, fronting Sections 5, 4, and part Section 3, Block XIV, Maungakaretu Survey District, and terminating at a point 16 chains north of the boundary between Sections 4 and 3 aforesaid, being a distance of 1 mile 16 chains, or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 816, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
