A PROCLAMATION.
W
HEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act,
1908,” for a certain work, to wit, for the purpose of a road in Paikakariki Survey District:
And whereas the Hutt County Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the
statement required by the act aforesaid in that behalf:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities of the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication of
this Proclamation in the Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of
the said road:

above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Com-
mander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s
Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion,
at
the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and nine.
