THE following special order, made by the Kaikoura County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

COUNTY OF KAIKOURA.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Kaikoura County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Kaikoura County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” for the purpose of completing the new wharf at Kaikoura, erecting goods-shed, and putting down moorings, the said Kaikoura Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅟₁₆d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property within the County of Kaikoura; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum.

THE following special order, made by the Carterton Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

BOROUGH OF CARTERTON.
Rhodes Street Drainage Loan.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for extending the borough drainage system to Rhodes Street, the said Carterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅟₁₆d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Rhodes Street Special-rating Area, comprising Allotments 32 to 46 and 52 to 62 of Section 206, and part Section 205, being bounded on the south by the said Allotments 32, 33, 34, and part 35 of Section 206, 348 links; on the west by railway-line, 340 links; on the north by part Section 205, 328 links; and on the east by part Section 205, 339·3 links: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
