Section 7 (first-class land) comprises 45 acres grass (with plough), 36 acres felled bush (surface-sown), 10 acres turnip fallow, 42 acres standing bush, and 62 acres side lands (surface-sown). The improvements, not included in the price of the land and which must be paid for separately by the tenant, comprise a seven-roomed house, woolshed, stable, and outbuildings, valued at ยฃ300. Section 10A (third-class land), pastoral country, pumice land, plains and hills, with a little surface grass in gullies.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908," it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908," aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the second column of the Schedule hereto from that named in the first column of the said Schedule to that named in the third column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Original Reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Sections Nos. 100, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109A, 206, 285, and part of 96, Hutt District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5907/6A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Acquired by His Majesty as a public reserve for the purposes of a rifle range.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block I, Rimutaka Survey District (formerly portion of Section No. 96, Hutt District). Bounded towards the north-west by the main Hutt Road, 100 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 96, Hutt District, 250 links; towards the south-east and south-west by the Trentham Rifle Range Reserve, 100 and 250 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5907/6B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Notice of Intention to exchange a Reserve in Rangataua Township, Wellington Land District, for other Land.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908," it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule of the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of "The Land Act, 1908," if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Bounded towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 14 and 15, Block III, Rangataua Township; towards the north-east by Nei Street; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 10 and 11, Block III aforesaid; and towards the south-west by Miharo Street: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5909/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block IV, Rangataua Township. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 14, Block V, Karioi Survey District; towards the north-east by Nei Street; towards the south-east and south-west by Crown land: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5909/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Reserved for a site for a post-office in New Zealand Gazette No. 93, of the 26th November, 1908, page 3002.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of "The Land Act, 1908," it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-twenty-second section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-twenty-first section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
