Lands proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Sections 2300 and 841, Block X, Pigeon Bay Survey District, Pigeon Bay Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners and of the mortgagees of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Pigeon Bay Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Pigeon Bay Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

All in the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Warkworth Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Mahurangi Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consent as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at Appleby.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of a railway from the main line of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to Oteramika and Toitois, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of South Invercargill, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said street:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the South Invercargill Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
