SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land in the Land District of Southland, containing an area of 2 roods 28·8 perches, more or less, being a portion of railway land at Appleby Station, on the Seaward Bush Branch Railway, and being portion of Sections Nos. 1, 2, and 31 of Block I, Seaward Bush Township; as the said piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 16593, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Additional Lands at Sockburn taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway to take further land at Sockburn, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

All in the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 16857, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured green and yellow.
