to be Trustees of all that piece or parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing 12 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 2B and 6A, Block XII, Town of Campbelltown: bounded towards the north-east by Barrow Street, 60 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 3 of the said Block XII, 125 links; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 6 and 1 of the said Block XII, 60 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 2A of the said Block XII, 125 links: also of all that piece or parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing 7·6 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 2A, Block XII, Town of Campbelltown: bounded towards the north-east by Barrow Street, 38 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 2B, 125 links; towards the south-west by Section No. 1, 38 links; and towards the north-west by the other portion of the said Section No. 2A, 125 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Act. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Bluff Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Public School in the City of Wellington.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned: Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 2·8 perches, more or less, being Town Acre No. 89, City of Wellington. Bounded towards the north by Town Acre No. 90, City of Wellington, 407 links; towards the east by the Mount Cook Reserve of the said city, 250 links; towards the south by Town Acre No. 88 of the said city, 407 links; and towards the west by Taranaki Street of the city aforesaid, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L.48623/16, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Declaring Road-lines through Land in the Braeburn Settlement to be closed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under “The Land for Settlements Act, 1908,” and are not suitable for the subdivision of such land: Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described, and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.
