THE following writ for the election of a member of Parliament for the Northern Maori Electoral District is
published in the Gazette, in accordance with the provisions
of “The Legislature Act, 1908.”

Writ.
To the Returning Officer for the Northern Maori Electoral District.
IN pursuance of Part IV of “The Legislature Act, 1908,”
I hereby authorise and require you to proceed, according to law, to the election of a member of Parliament to
serve in the House of Representatives for the Northern
Maori Electoral District.
I further direct that you cause the nomination of the said
member to be at the Courthouse, Korarareka (Russell), on
the tenth day of March, 1909, and, in the event of the
election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the
twentieth day of March, 1909.
You are further required to indorse on this writ the name
of the person so elected, and then to return the writ to me
on or before the fifth day of April, 1909.
Dated at Wellington, this 26th day of February, 1909.
