BOROUGH OF BIRKENHEAD.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1908”; and in the matter of the Borough of Birkenhead.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough of Birkenhead has caused a survey to be made and a plan prepared showing the lands affected by a proposed public work, namely:—
Widening and deviation of the Great North Road near Birkenhead Wharf, abutting on Sections 2, 18, 19, and 20 of Allotments 60 and 61, Parish of Takapuna, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such land so far as they can be ascertained; and that a copy of such plan is deposited and is open for inspection in the office of the Town Clerk of the said borough, numbered 99, Queen Street, Auckland; and that the works proposed to be executed involve the widening of the said road and the construction of a batter extending into and upon or to the boundary of such sections; and all persons affected are to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Birkenhead Borough Council.

THE HOROWHENUA CO-OPERATIVE BUTCHERY ASSOCIATION (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on Wednesday, 27th January, 1909, at the Century Hall, Levin, at 8 p.m., the following special resolutions were carried:—

  1. That the sale to Messrs. Hannan, Ryder, and Craig of the assets of the company comprised in an agreement dated 11th January, 1909, and made between the company of the one part, and the said Hannan, Ryder, and Craig of the other part, be now confirmed, and that such sale and transfer be carried out upon the terms of the said agreement.
  2. That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1903,” and that Messrs. P. Arcus, C. Palmer, and H. C. Gapper be hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.
  3. That the Liquidators be directed to give effect to the agreement dated 11th January, 1909, made between the company of the one part, and Messrs. Hannan, Ryder, and Craig of the other part.
    The above resolutions were duly confirmed by a subsequent general meeting of the company held at Mr. John Craig’s rooms, Oxford Street, Levin, on the 12th day of February, 1909.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, ALEXANDER McLEAN MUIR and ROBERT NEILSON, carrying on business as Bacon-curers and Sausage-makers at Dunedin, under the style or firm of “Neilson and Muir,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from this date.

All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Robert Neilson, who will continue to carry on the said business under his own name.

UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hutt County Council proposes to take for the purposes of a public road all that piece of land containing 17 acres 1 rood 30 perches, and situate in and being part of the Taupo No. 1 Block, Paekakariki Survey District, adjoining the Wellington-Manawatu Railway on the east side.
A plan of the land proposed to be taken is open for inspection at Mr. Robertson’s store in Plimmerton during business hours.
All persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Hutt County Council.

WHEREAS I, CHARLES THOMAS SHIELDS, of Spreydon, near Christchurch, Brassmoulder, have for many years past borne and been known by the name of “Charles Thomas Price,” “Price” being the surname of my grandparents, by whom I was informally adopted: And whereas I am desirous of adopting the surname of “Price”: Now, I hereby give notice that I shall henceforth take and subscribe myself by the name of “Charles Thomas Price,” and that I have this day executed a deed poll declaratory of such my intention.
