THIS DEED, made the day of , 19 , between His Majesty the King (who, with his heirs and successors, is hereinafter termed “the lessor”), of the one part, and of , in the Land District of , in the Dominion of New Zealand, (hereinafter, with executors, administrators, and permitted assigns, referred to as and included in the term “the lessee”), of the other part, witnesseth that, in consideration of the rent hereinafter reserved, and of the covenants, conditions, and agreements herein contained and implied, and on the part of the lessee to be paid, observed, and performed, the lessor doth hereby demise and lease unto the lessee all that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasurement acres roods and perches, a little more or less, situated in the Land District of , and being section numbered , Block , Survey District of ; as the same is more particularly delineated and described in the plan drawn hereon, and therein coloured red in outline; together with the rights, easements, and appurtenances to the same belonging: To hold the said several premises intended to be hereby demised unto the lessee for the term of twenty-one years, commencing from the 1st day of next; yielding and paying therefor unto the Receiver of Land Revenue for the said District of the annual rent of (£ : : ), payable half-yearly in advance on the 1st day of January and 1st day of July in each and every year during the said term, free from all deductions whatsoever.
And it is hereby declared and agreed that these presents are intended to take effect as an occupation lease under Part VIII of “The Land Act, 1908,” and the regulations now in force thereunder; and the provisions of that Act so far as the same apply to the term, estate, or interest hereby granted or created, and to the relations between the lessor and lessee from time to time, shall be binding in all respects upon the parties hereto in the same manner as if such provisions had been fully set out herein. And it is hereby further declared that if any dispute or disagreement shall arise between the parties hereto touching the construction of these presents, or in anywise relating hereto, such dispute or disagreement shall be referred to arbitration in the manner set forth in section 80 of “The Land Act, 1908”; and neither of the said parties shall take or cause to be taken any steps or proceedings to set aside or call in question any award or decision which may have been given upon any such reference as final.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 15, Block VII, Matamata Township, situated in Block II, Tapapa Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 13, Block VII, Matamata Township, 250 links; towards the south-east by Tainui Street, 100 links; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 20, 19, and 18 of aforesaid Block VII, 250 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 14 of the aforesaid Block VII, 100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19293/366A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a police-station.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being Section No. 152 of the Suburbs of Matamata Township, situated in Block II, Tapapa Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Tower Road, 902·9 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 495·4 links; towards the south-west by Section No. 153, Suburbs of Matamata Township, 829·6 links; towards the north-west by a plantation reserve, 490 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19293/366B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a police paddock.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nine, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

LOCALITY AND DESCRIPTION.
Raetihi is situated on the Pipiriki–Ohakune Main Road, about nine miles from Ohakune. All the sections under offer are flat, and have been felled and grassed, while most of them front formed streets.
