Second-class Pastoral Land.

LOCALITY AND DESCRIPTION.
Situated on the Mangaboe Road, adjoining the Kaitieke
Township Reserve. Distant about nine miles from Raurimu
by the Kaitieke Road. About 20 acres of flat or nearly
flat land, partly open, but mostly covered with manuka and
light bush. The remainder is hilly. The lower slopes are
covered with light bush, whilst the gullies and higher land
are covered with heavier bush of tawa, tawhero, rimu, matai,
kahikatea, miro, hinau, &c., with usual undergrowth. The
soil is pumice on flats, and a clay loam on hills and slopes,
on a sandstone-and-papa formation. Fairly well watered.
Elevation ranges from about 800ft. to 1,550ft. above sea-
level.
