A P R O C L A M A T I O N .
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and thirty-three of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the roads described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE roads mentioned in list hereunder :—

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Midland Railway—namely, portion of the extension from Reefton to Inangahua :
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the further portion of the said railway hereinbefore specified.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1908,” for scenery-preservation purposes :
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenery-preservation purposes as aforesaid; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine.
