In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Waipara Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the branch of the Hurunui-Waikato Railway from Waipara to a point in the neighbourhood of the Township of Mackenzie (Waipara-Hurunui River Section), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes:
And whereas such land is situated in the Waipara Road District, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of "The Public Works Act, 1908," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Waipara Road Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those two parcels of land, in the Land District of Canterbury, containing in the aggregate 1 rood 14·7 perches, more or less, being portions of Rural Sections 29815 and 11051 in Block V, Stonyhurst Survey District, and being bounded as follows: Commencing from a point at the junction of the north-western boundary of the railway reserve with the eastern boundary of said Section 29815; thence north-easterly by a line at a bearing of 50° 25', a distance of 118·2 links; thence south-westerly by lines bearing 211° 43' 20", 220° 45' 20", 224° 19', and 258° 5' respectively, distances of 124·8 links, 133 links, 538·5 links, and 142·8 links respectively; thence north-easterly by a line at a bearing of 44° 44', a distance of 291·2 links; thence south-easterly by a line at a bearing of 134° 44', a distance of 40 links; thence north-easterly by lines bearing 44° 44' and 50° 25' respectively, distances of 248 links and 252·1 links respectively; and thence north-westerly by a line at a bearing of 320° 25', a distance of 40 links to the commencing-point: as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purpose of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes:
And whereas such land is situated in the Ellerslie Town District, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land, in the Auckland Land District, containing 1 rood 33·6 perches and 2 roods 5·6 perches respectively, more or less, being portions of railway land at Penrose, on the Auckland-Marton Railway, and being parts of Allotment 17 of Section 12, and Allotment 1 of Section 17, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District.
Also all those parcels of land in the said land district, containing 1 acre and 3·8 perches, 2 roods 9·6 perches, and 1 rood 9·6 perches respectively, more or less, being portions of railway land at Ellerslie, on the said Auckland-Marton Railway, and being parts of Allotments 7, 7A, and 59 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District.
As the said several parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plans marked W.R. 17045 and 17046, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.
