Situated two miles and a half due south from Longbush Railway-station, on Invercargill-Dunedin line. Dry, sloping land of fair quality, carrying timber fit for firewood only.

Generally level land; good soil; swampy in parts. Worked-out sawmill areas, with a few scattered pines and kamahi. Sections 70 and 71 contain 10 acres swamp and 10 acres open land; Sections 90 and 91, 20 acres open land; Sections 98 to 100, 50 acres open land, 30 acres of which has been sown in grass; Sections 70 and 71 are situated about two miles from One Tree Point, and Sections 90 and 91 and 98 to 100 on the Seaward Bush Railway line, close to Waimatua Railway-station.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
