Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Block VII, Tangitu Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such road is not required for railway purposes:

And whereas such land is situated in the Ohura County, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently control and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become a road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Ohura County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Closing Government Road in Block V, Karioi Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (c) of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road in Karioi Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

Cancelling a Proclamation taking Additional Land in the Borough of Westport and Kawatiri Survey District for the Westport-Inangahua Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the twenty-third section of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is enacted that in any case where a Proclamation has been issued taking land for any public work, and where before such Proclamation has been registered by the District Land Registrar it is found that such Proclamation incorrectly describes the land purporting to be taken, or that any other error in form or substance exists in or in relation to such Proclamation, the Governor may by a subsequent Proclamation cancel and annul such first-mentioned Proclamation, or any part thereof: And whereas a Proclamation made under “The Public Works Act, 1908,” dated the fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, taking additional land in the Borough of Westport and Kawatiri Survey District for the Westport-Inangahua Railway, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 84, of the seventh day of the same month, incorrectly describes a part of the land mentioned in the Schedule thereto, and such Proclamation has not been registered by the District Land Registrar, as provided by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” do, by this Proclamation, hereby cancel and annul the said Proclamation, published in the New Zealand Gazette aforesaid, taking additional land in the Borough of Westport and Kawatiri Survey District for the Westport-Inangahua Railway, and I
