corner aforesaid, the point of commencement: exclusive of Section No. 6 of the said Block VI, which is within the above-described area, also a public road and a tramway reserve which intersect the area described above: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 54668/12, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red, together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a rifle range for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Act. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Denniston Rifle Range Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Removing Restrictions against Alienation of Native Land.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of “The Maori Land Laws Amendment Act, 1903,” it is enacted that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act, or in any Crown grant or other instrument of title, the Governor may, on the recommendation of the Board, remove any restriction on the alienation of land owned by Maoris: Provided that the decision of the Governor on any recommendation of the Board shall be given within six months from the date of the receipt of such recommendation:
And whereas the Aotea District Maori Land Board, by a recommendation made and passed by the said Board on the third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and received on the twenty-fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight, recommended the Governor to remove and revoke the restrictions against alienation contained in the instrument of title of the block of land particularised and set out in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon and vested in me by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities me thereunto enabling, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Aotea District Maori Land Board aforesaid, do hereby remove and revoke the restrictions against alienation of the said land, so far as to permit the same to be sold.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Paritutu Survey District, containing 20 acres 3 roods 19 perches, more or less, known as Subdivision 2 of part Section 29, Waitara West, and comprised in a partition order of the Native Land Court dated the 5th day of March, 1894, subject to the restriction that the said land shall be “inalienable by sale or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being previously obtained to every such sale, lease, or mortgage.”

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nine, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Description and Locality.
Elevation ranges from 450 ft. to 650 ft. above sea-level. Sections 1 to 3, partly broken and partly flat; Sections 4 to 11, easy-sloping country; Section 12, part easy country, part broken; Sections 13 and 14, broken land. All covered with mixed forest and fairly thick undergrowth. Soil of light nature. Situated about twenty-five miles from Opotiki—ten miles by cart-road and fifteen miles formed bridle-road.

Opening Lands in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale or Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908.”
