GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

Culverden is situated in the Amuri County, sixty-nine miles from Christchurch, is the present terminus of the railway, and is part of the recently subdivided Culverden Estate. The whole of the township is flat, the soil being of a light and shingly nature. Water is obtained by means of wells and pumps.

IMPROVEMENTS.

The undermentioned improvements are not included in the capital values of the sections, and have to be paid for separately by the successful applicants:—
Section 2. Dwellinghouse of four rooms, wood with iron roof; valued at £190.
Section 14. Cottage of four rooms, wash-house, painter's shop, trap-shed, open shed, blacksmith's shop and brick oven for heating tires; valued at £361 10s.
Section 16. Dwellinghouse of six rooms, men's quarters, stable and feed-house, trap-shed, &c.; valued at £316.
Section 35. Dwellinghouse of five rooms, wood with iron roof, surgery of wood with iron roof, and two-stalled stable; valued at £220.

The present lessees of Sections 45, 46, and 47 have the right of removal of all fences, the lessees of Sections 43 and 44 all except those on the south-west boundaries, the lessee of 50 all except those on the south and east boundaries, and the lessee of 51 all except that on the east boundary.
