has been appointed Inspector of Machinery and Examiner of candidates for certificates of competency as engineers and engine-drivers for the purposes of the said Act, for the Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough, Nelson North, Nelson South, Canterbury, Otago, and Westland Districts, as from the 26th day of October, 1908.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Borough of Petone.

Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 7th November, 1908.

PURSUANT to section 118 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be excluded from the County of Hutt and included in the Borough of Petone. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being Sections Nos. 9 and 10, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District, bounded towards the north and east generally by the Borough of Lower Hutt, towards the south-west by high-water mark of Port Nicholson, and towards the north-west by the Borough of Petone.
