ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate in the Mangakahia
Survey District, containing 70 acres and 20 perches, more or
less, known as Mangakahia No. 2a2 No. 1A, and comprised
in a partition order of the Native Land Court dated the
13th day of September, 1900, in favour of Ngawai Amato.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth
day of November, 1908.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section four of "The Native Land
Laws Amendment Act, 1895," it is enacted that the
Governor may, by Order in Council, except from the opera-
tion of section one hundred and seventeen of "The Native
Land Court Act, 1894" (hereinafter called "the said Act"),
for a limited period or otherwise, and either generally or
for such purposes and subject to such restrictions as shall
be in such Order specified, any land, wheresoever situate,
which is for the time being subject to the operation of the
said section, or any interest therein or right over the same,
or may in like manner make such exception in favour exclu-
sively of any lessee or other person who has been bonâ fide
in occupation of and has made improvements on such land,
or has paid money to Native owners for lease or purchase
thereof, prior to the passing of the said Act: Provided that
no Order in Council under the provisions of this section
shall take effect until after the expiration of two months
from the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette:
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board,
by a recommendation made on the fourth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and eight, and received on the
eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
eight, has recommended the Governor to except from the
operation of section one hundred and seventeen of "The
Native Land Court Act, 1894," for the purpose of alienation
by way of mortgage to a lending department of the Govern-
ment, the block or parcel of land particularised and set out
in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority conferred upon him by section four
of "The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1895," and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby except the said
land from the operation of section one hundred and seven-
teen of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," for the pur-
pose of alienation by way of mortgage as aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate in the Motu and
Mangatu Survey Districts, containing 336 acres 2 roods
7 perches, more or less, known as Poututu B6B, and com-
prised in a partition order of the Native Land Court dated
the 29th day of March, 1899, in favour of Heni Haua and
another.

by way of sale, the undivided interest of Riakiao Wharepa
in the block or parcel of land particularised and set out in
the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate at the Chatham
Islands, containing 108 acres, more or less, known as Keke-
rione No. 45, and comprised in a partition order of the
Native Land Court dated the 10th day of August, 1900, in
favour of the said Riakiao Wharepa and others.

Amendments and Additions to Polling-places under "The
Legislature Act, 1908."
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by "The
Legislature Act, 1908," I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
make the amendments and additions to the existing polling-
places as shown against the electoral districts the names of
which are specified in the following Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
Bay of Plenty Electoral District—
The Polling-place, Whangaparoa, to be altered to The
Post Office, Whangaparoa.
Matahanea Store, Wai-o-eka, to be altered to The Mata-
hanea Store, Matahanea.
The Polling-place, Kutarere, to be altered to The
Schoolhouse, Kutarere.
Willow Crossing, Matawai, to be altered to Hill's House,
Willow Crossing.
The Woolshed, Huanui, to be deleted.
The Schoolhouse, Tolaga Bay, to be altered to The
Courthouse, Tolaga Bay.
Williams's Homestead, Wharekopae, to be altered to
Bruce's Store, Wharekopae.
The Polling-place, Okitu, to be altered to Factory
Cottage, Okitu.
The Polling-place, Otarere, to be altered to Spurr's
Store, Otarere.
The Schoolhouse, Motu, to be added to list.
Stratford Electoral District—
Mr. A. J. Stockley's Residence, Kiore, to be deleted.
Mataura Electoral District—
The Schoolhouse, Mabel Bush, to be altered to The
Public Hall, Mabel Bush.
Clutha Electoral District—
The Schoolhouse, Waiarikiki, to be altered to Mr.
Dawson's House, Waiarikiki.
Kaiapoi Electoral District—
Mr. John Gillespie's House, Jeff's Drain Road, Ohoka,
to be added to the list.
