Vesting Reserves in the Kawhia Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of January, 1908.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for municipal purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Kawhia Town Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Kawhia Town Board, in trust, for municipal purposes.

Vesting Reserves in the South Invercargill Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of January, 1908.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for municipal purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the said lands should be vested in the South Invercargill Borough Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the South Invercargill Borough, in trust, as reserves for municipal purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 39 perches, more or less, being Section No. 55, Block I, Town of Seaward Bush. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 550·8 links; towards the east by a public road, 234 links; towards the south by a public road, 503·6 links; and towards the west by Section No. 56 in the said block, 457·2 links.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 25 perches, more or less, being Section No. 54, Block II, Town of Seaward Bush. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 467·7 links; towards the south by a public road, 428 links; and towards the west by a public road, 189 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57583/4, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointing Commissioners to classify Pastoral Runs in Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one-hundred-and-eighty-ninth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

CHARLES JOHN CANTON

Commissioners to classify and report to me upon the rural lands in the Wellington Land District known as Runs Nos. 5, 6, and 7, Block XII, 8 and 9, Block XIV, and 10, 11, and part 12, Block XIV, Wairoa Survey District; 14 and 15, Block IX, and 16, Blocks IX, X, and XIII, Ikitara Survey District; 17, 18 and 19, 20 and 21, Blocks V and VI, and 22, Block VI, Koitiata Survey District; and 23, Block I, and 24, Blocks II and III, Sandy Survey District; as provided by section 189 of “The Land Act, 1892.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was heretofore duly set apart for timber purposes, being a reserve within Class I of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and such land has not been vested in trust in any society, body corporate, or trustees:

And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appropriated for a site for a public recreation-ground, being a reserve within Class III of the aforesaid Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” do by this notification declare that the said land shall, from and after the tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight, be appropriated for a public recreation-ground under Class III of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881”; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 22 acres, more or less, being Section No. 58, Block X, Mangahao Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a public road, towards the east by Section No. 57 of the said Block X, towards the south by a public road, and towards the south-west by a public road; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 55527/19, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
