Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block IX, Pirongia Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 6, Block IX, Pirongia Survey District, 922·9 links; towards the north-east by a public road, 491 links, 237·2 links. and 306·4 links; again towards the south-west by Section No. 13, Village of Te Rau-a-Moa, 285·6 links; again towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 13, 14, and 15, Village of Te Rau-a-Moa aforesaid (a sheep-dip reserve), 369·1 links; again towards the north-west by Section No. 15 aforesaid, 250 links; again towards the north-east by the public road aforesaid, 149·7 links and 308·8 links; towards the east and south generally by a closed road, 145·4 links, 353·4 links, 528·8 links, 631·3 links, and 14·6 links; again towards the south-west by Section No. 6 aforesaid, 1235·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 53088/19, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For stock purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Bounded towards the north-east generally by the Rotorua–Taupo Road and Wairakei Stream, 563·5, 470·2, 60·5, 448, and 445·5 links: towards the south-east by a branch of the Wairakei Stream aforesaid and the Wairakei Block, bearing 62° 44′, 1470 links; 67° 47′, 5151 links; 67° 06′, 10832·7 links; and 221° 42′, 1275 links: towards the south-west by the main Ohinemutu–Taupo Road, 2200 links; towards the north-west by Run No. 92, bearing 67° 15′, 19525 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50095/24, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For public health and recreation purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Bounded towards the east by Sections Nos. 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, in the said block, 7386·8 links; towards the south-west by Section No. 25, 6364·7 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 4359·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 52745/18A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple. For an endowment for primary education.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 23 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1, Parish of Titirangi. Bounded towards the south-east by Section No. 2 of the said parish, 580 links; and on all other sides by the Whau River: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 52745/18B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a public recreation-ground.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Bounded towards the south-west, the north, and the south-east by Section No. 2 of said Block IX, and towards the south by Mangawhio Road; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 49450/28, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a roadman’s hut.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
