Opening Lands in Marlborough Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

77 acres flat land, suitable for dairying; 131 acres terrace and hilly land, pastoral country; balance rough and precipitous. About 200 acres of milling-timber has been felled, and 115 acres sown in English grass. Fairly well watered. Fires have destroyed a good deal of the bush on the flats and terraces. Distant about twenty-two miles from Havelock—twenty miles being good metalled road, balance track. Altitude, 170 ft. to 2,000 ft.

Opening Land in Otago Land District for Sale or Selection.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Thursday, the tenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908.”

Weighted with £170, valuation for buildings, consisting of dwellinghouse, outhouses, and shed.

This allotment forms part of what was formerly the Kurow Nursery, and is distant only a few chains from Kurow Railway-station. The land is fairly good throughout, and is valuable on account of its proximity to the Town of Kurow. It is fenced on three sides, and is subdivided by other fences. The fencing goes with the land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
