THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT.
MASTERBTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the Masterton Borough Council to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, for the purpose of street widening and extension, certain lands situate within the administrative area of the Borough of Masterton, and forming parts of Sections 1 and 43 (IV, Tiffin Survey District), Manaia, and of Section 7, Masterton Small-farm Settlement (1, Otahoua Survey District), which said lands are more particularly described in the Schedule hereunder; that a plan showing the said lands, together with the names of owners and occupiers thereof, so far as the same are known, is upon deposit at the offices of the said Council, Chapel Street, Masterton, there open to public inspection during usual office hours; that the said Council hereby call upon all persons affected or likely to be affected by the taking of the said lands to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection or objections to the taking of the said lands for the purposes aforesaid, and to send such writing to the Masterton Borough Council within forty days of the date of the publication hereof. And further notice is hereby given that upon receipt of any such objection or objections as aforesaid the said Council will appoint a time and place for the consideration thereof, of which due notice will be given.

THE RAILWAY ADVERTISING COMPANY (LIMITED).
At an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened, and held on the 14th day of September, 1908, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:
"That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily."

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
I, JOHN NEILL KEITH, Lic. Royal Col. Phys. and Surgeons Edinburgh 1898, Lic. Fac. Phys. and Surgeons Glasgow 1898, now residing in Auckland, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 23rd November, 1908, to have my name placed on the Medical Register for the Dominion of New Zealand, and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Auckland.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between DONALD McDougall and JOHN GRUAR, trading as “McDougall, Gruar, and Co.” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 30th September, 1908. Mr. Gruar will take over and continue the late firm’s business in the North Island. Mr. McDougall will take over and continue the firm’s business in the South Island, and will also take over the firm-name of “McDougall, Gruar, and Co.”
