THE following special order, made by the Moa Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

THAT a special rate of ½d. in the pound be made and levied, for a period of one year, ending the 15th August, 1909, over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the “Norfolk Road West Special-rating District,” viz.: Sections 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168, 170, 178, 174, 175, 176 (in two subdivisions), 177, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District; 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 160, 171, 172, 190, 191, 192, 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 199, 200, 201, 202, 203, 205, Block XII, Egmont Survey District. Such rate to be payable in one instalment at the Board’s office, Inglewood, on the 1st October, 1908.

I hereby certify that the above special order was made by the Moa Road Board on the 15th August, 1908, and confirmed on the 19th September, 1908, in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and its Amendment Act, 1905.

Special Order made by the Foxton Borough Council.

THE following special order, made by the Foxton Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

FOXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, and “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and amendments, the Foxton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300 for forty-one years at 3½ per cent. per annum, authorised to be raised by the Foxton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the formation and metalling of certain streets in the Borough of Foxton, the Foxton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Foxton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a full and true copy of the special order re streets loan passed at a special meeting of the Foxton Borough Council held on the 14th day of September, 1908, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting held on the 12th day of October, 1908.

Special Order made by the Point Chevalier Road Board, County of Eden.

THE following special order, made by the Point Chevalier Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

POINT CHEVALIER ROAD BOARD.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Point Chevalier Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £770, authorised to be raised by the Point Chevalier Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying a proportion of the cost of deviating and improving the Great North Road, the said Point Chevalier Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Point Chevalier Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Point Chevalier Road Board held on the 19th day of September, 1908, and was duly confirmed at a subsequent special meeting of the said Board held on the 17th day of October, 1908.

Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices, received from the Clerk of the County of Waipa, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

Notice is hereby given that the result of the poll of ratepayers of the Rangiaohia Riding (Waipa County) taken on Wednesday, the 21st day of October, 1908, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £3,000 for the purpose of grading and metalling roads and erecting a bridge in the said riding, was as follows: For the proposal, 107 votes; against the proposal, 37 votes; informal, 6 votes.

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

Notice is hereby given that the result of the poll of ratepayers of the Mangapiko Riding (Waipa County) taken on Wednesday, the 21st day of October, 1908, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £2,500 for the purpose of grading and metalling roads in the said riding, was as follows: For the proposal, 20 votes; against the proposal, 5 votes.

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.
