so far as they relate to Sections Nos. 6 and 9, Block VI, Rotorua Survey District, and Section No. 1, Block X, Waihi South Survey District, Auckland Land District aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant of the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and the Proclamation of the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight, in so far as they relate to Sections Nos. 6 and 9, Block VI, Rotorua Survey District, and Section No. 1, Block X, Waihi South Survey District, and do declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart as endowments for primary education, being the lands intended to be reserved by the said notifications.


SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1.003 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 6 and 9, Block VI, Rotoma Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 5 of the aforesaid Block VI; towards the east and south by the Wairoa Valley Road; towards the south-west generally by a road; and towards the north-west by Hannon’s Road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57902/1r, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,020 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1a, Block X, Waihi South Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Crown land; towards the east by Section No. 2, Block XI, Waihi South Survey District; towards the south generally by a road, and by Section No. 1, Block II, Rotoma Survey District; and towards the west by the Waitahanui Stream: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57902/1r, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Trustees for the Bastings Public Cemetery appointed.


PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

Names of Trustees. Name of Public Cemetery, and Description of Land.
James Bennet, Duncan McDonald, Henry Beighton, William Milne, and Alexander Milne. BASTINGS. All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 19 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block IV, Township of Bastings. Bounded towards the north-west by Horace Street, 895 9 and 541 links; towards the east by Section No. 17, Block XV, Crockston Survey District, 678 links; and towards the south-east by a street, 1025 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 56288, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.


PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908.”

OHINEMURI COUNTY.—WAITOA SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, 100 ft. to 600 ft. above sea-level. Rough, broken country. About 25 acres in each section covered with light mixed forest, comprising birch, tawa, rewarewa, with light undergrowth of ferns and nikau; balance covered with fern and tea-tree, with tupakibi scrub in gullies. Soil inferior clay, on slate formation. Well watered by Waiti and small streams. Situated from five to six miles from Tahuna by cart-road, partly formed and in course of construction.

OHINEMURI COUNTY.—HAPUAKOHE SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, from 100 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level. About 20 acres level to undulating; balance steep, broken country, covered with heavy mixed forest, comprising tawa, manuka, rewarewa, rimu, rata, kahikatea, and a few kauri-trees sufficient for building and fencing purposes; light undergrowth of fern and supplejack. Soil of fair quality, on slate formation. Well watered by the Mangawhero Stream. Access from Tahuna, ten miles—five miles by the Tahuna-Hoe-o-Tainui Road, balance by cart-road, formed to within two miles of section and still under construction.

WAIKATO COUNTY.—TAUPIRI PARISH.

Altitude from 100 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. About 40 acres flat, balance undulating to broken. About 50 acres scattered clumps of light forest, comprising birch, tawa, rewarewa, and a few small kauri-rickers; undergrowth of ferns and kotukutuku; balance fern country. Soil a black loam and clay of medium quality, on slate formation. Well watered. Situated about ten miles from Ohinewai Railway-station by good cart-road, not metalled.
