AWATERE ROAD BOARD.

Special Order made by Awatere Road Board.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Awatere Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That the payment of the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £4,000, raised by the Awatere Road Board, under the authority of the above-mentioned Acts, and for which a poll was taken on the 7th December, 1906, be made from time to time out of the general fund of the Board.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed by the Awatere Road Board at a special meeting held at Seddon on the 27th November, 1907, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Board held on the 14th January, 1908.

Special Orders made by the Council of the County of Pohangina.

THE following special orders, made by the Pohangina County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Orders.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and all other statutes enabling it in that behalf so to do, the Council of the County of Pohangina hereby resolves (by way of special order) to borrow the sum of £600, such loan to be used for the purpose of providing the Council’s proportion of the cost of constructing a bridge and approaches over the Oroua River on the Apiti Main South Road, known as the Marton Block Crossing, as set forth in the Governor’s Warrant gazetted on page 2761 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1907; and that the interest and sinking fund on the said loan shall not exceed £3 10s. per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments thereto, and “The Public Works Act, 1905,” the Council of the County of Pohangina hereby resolves (by way of special order) as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the said Council of the County of Pohangina, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the said Council’s proportion of the cost of constructing a bridge and approaches over the Oroua River on the Apiti Main South Road, known as the Marton Block Crossing, the said Council of the County of Pohangina hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Oroua Coal Creek Block North, the Feilding Small-farm Block, the Mangoira Coal Creek Block, the Pohangina No. 1 Farm-homestead Settlement, and all the sections north of Apiti–Norsewood Road in the Salisbury Special-settlement Block; also Sections 18, 19, 20, 22, Block XII, Apiti Survey District, Pohangina County: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until such loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being £3 10s. per centum per annum.
