TURANGA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Turanga Road Board resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Turanga Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following works—viz., grading, forming, and metalling all the unmetalled portions of Main Road from part Evans’s New Road Deviation to Whitford Post-office, £980; from Whitford Post-office to Waikopu Bridge, £700; from Homestead, Whitford Park, to Cemetery Bridge, Brookby Road, £480; from Hog Hill Quarry towards Trice’s Wharf, £420; from Pender’s Farm towards Campbell Farm, £200; from Main Road towards Cooper’s Farm, £120; from Main Road towards Bryan Farm, New Road Deviation, Whitford Park, £100—the said Turanga Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Turanga Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.

I, Murray Pender, Chairman of the Turanga Road Board, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly proposed on the 22nd day of August, 1908, and passed on the 19th day of September, 1908, in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and its amendments.

THE following special order, made by the Waitomo County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Te Kuiti Township Special-rating District.—Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of draining, constructing culverts, and forming and metalling streets and footpaths, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Te Kuiti Township Special-rating District, the boundaries of which are as follows—commencing at the western bank of the Mangaokewa Stream, at its intersection with the western boundary of the railway (at railway-bridge); thence southerly along the western boundary of railway to its intersection with the north-west boundary of Te Kuiti Native Township; thence westward, southward, and eastward along the boundaries of the said Te Kuiti Native Township to the western bank of the Mangaokewa Stream (opposite the railway-crossing at the south end of the Te Kuiti Railway-station); thence by the western bank of the Mangaokewa Stream to the point of commencement at railway-bridge: and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent. The cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest thereon shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £2,000.

The above special order was duly passed and adopted at a special meeting held on the 16th day of June, 1908, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 23rd day of July, 1908.

Special Order made by the Raglan County Council.

THE following special order, made by the Raglan County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate (Puroa Special-rating District).

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments thereto, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Puroa Road, in the Waingaro Riding, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Puroa Special-rating District. The boundaries of the special-rating district are as follows: Commencing at the northern corner of Section 6 of Block VI, Newcastle Survey District, and thence running along the north-eastern sides of Sections 6 and 5 to the Waipa River, thence following the western bank of the Waipa River to the southern boundary of Section 26, thence along the western sides of Sections 26 and 26A to the southern boundary of Section 2 of Block X, thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 2A and 58 to the southern boundary of Section 58, thence west along the southern boundaries of Sections 8, 5, 4, and 1 of Block X to the south-western corner of Section 1, thence along the western and northern boundaries of Section 1 to the southern corner of Section 2, thence along the western boundary of Section 2 to the block-line, thence following the block-line to its intersection with Section 10, thence around the southern boundaries of Section 10 to the southern boundary of Section 93, thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 93, 94, and 9, and then north along the eastern boundary of Section 9, thence west to the south-western corner of Section 8 of Block VI, thence north along the western boundary of Section 8 to the road-line, and thence following the road-line to point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, and the interest to be paid at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off, and it is the intention to pay out of loan cost of raising same and first year’s interest.

The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 30th day of July, 1908, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 23rd day of September, 1908.

SPECIAL ORDER MADE BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWKE’S BAY.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hawke’s Bay County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorised to be raised by the Hawke’s Bay County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for expenditure within that part of the Whare-o-Maranui Block known as Napier South, and intended to be applied in manner following—that is to say, £4,000 for metalling roads, £250 for making footpaths, £250 for making water-channels, £150 for extending culverts, and £350 for completing drainage—the said Council hereby makes and levies
