In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1903”; and in the matter of the Mutual Trading Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court of New Zealand was on the twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight, presented to His Honour Theophilus Cooper, Esquire, a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, by A. S. Paterson and Company, of Wellington, Merchants, creditors of the said Mutual Trading Company (Limited), and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of this honourable Court on Friday, the 2nd day of October, 1908, at the Judge’s Chambers, Supreme Court House, Wellington, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, or so soon thereafter as counsel can be heard; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous of opposing the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the said Act should appear at the hearing, by himself or counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of this petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

THE PETONE WOODWARE AND TIMBER TRADING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at the public office of the company on the 9th day of September, 1908, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.” And at the same meeting Mr. W. G. Talbot, of Wellington, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between Alexander Campbell Orr and Thomas James Hunter, of Christchurch, Indent Merchants, under the style of “Orr, Hunter, and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of September, 1908. The business will in future be carried on by Alexander Campbell Orr on his own account, and he will pay and receive all debts owing by and to the late firm.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1907, and of “The Public Works Act, 1908.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington Harbour Board, having obtained the consent of the Ministers of Marine and of Public Works, propose, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the acquisition of land abutting on the foreshore at Evans Bay, and reclamation from the sea of portions of Evans Bay authorised by the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1907, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule below are required to be taken. And notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Wellington Harbour Board, Jervois Quay, Wellington, and in the Post-office Store, Miramar, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of such lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, within forty days from the publication of this notice, to the Acting-Secretary of the Wellington Harbour Board, Jervois Quay, Wellington.
