Directing Sale of Lands under “The Public Works Act, 1908.”
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of “The Public Works Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
And whereas a memorial has been laid before the Governor by the Timaru Harbour Board (hereinafter called “the said Board”), accompanied by a map, setting forth that certain lands were purchased for the purposes of the Harbour Board: And whereas the said land, as described in the Schedule hereto, is not now required by the said Board for the purposes aforesaid, and the said Board desires to sell the same, subject to certain conditions hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the conditions that, in order to enable the said Board to reach the lands in respect of which a right to quarry was granted to the said Board by Mr. James King by deed of grant dated the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred, and registered in the Deeds Registry Office, Christchurch, as No. 95844, there is reserved and granted to the Corporation of the inhabitants of the Timaru Harbour District, and to the Harbour Board representing the same, during the term of the said deed or grant, or any renewal thereof, the tramway rights or other rights of way through or over the said land which are or may be required in exercise of or in relation to the said Board's existing or future rights to quarry or carry stone or other material.

Consenting to closing Road in Block I, Newcastle Survey District, Pepepe Parish, Raglan County.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, subsection (a), of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the Raglan County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Raglan County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Declaring a Road-diversion in the Borough of Campbelltown to be a Road.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order that the road-diversion situated in the Borough of Campbelltown and described in the Schedule hereto, and which said road has hitherto been a Government road within the meaning of the said Act, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control and management of the Campbelltown Borough Council.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District and Borough of Campbelltown, containing 3·8 perches, more or less, being portions of Lot 13, Section 3 and Lot 14, and Section 4 and Lot 15 of Block I, Township of Campbelltown East, and being the whole of the land taken for a road-diversion in connection with the Waitaki–Bluff Railway by a Proclamation dated the 26th day of December, 1907, and published in Gazette No. 8, of 30th January, 1908; as the same is more particularly delineated upon the plan marked 16020, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
