Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Queenstown Domain.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-seven of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the nineteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eight, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act :
And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
THE QUEENSTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL
to be the Queenstown Domain Board, having the control of the domain described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Library Chambers, Queenstown, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
QUEENSTOWN DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres and 19 perches, more or less, being Blocks Nos. LIV, LV, and LVI, Town of Queenstown, Lake County. Bounded towards the north-west by Cemetery Reserve No. 1, 1847·7 links; thence towards the north-east by Isle Street, 123·2 links; thence towards the south-east by Isle Street, 1987·5 links; and thence towards the south-west by Hay Street, 564·5 links; and intersected by Cemetery Road and Camp Street: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 40309, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Recreation Reserve in Marlborough Land District brought under Part II of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Marlborough Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Waitohi Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.
WAITOHI DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 1 rood 15 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 1150 and 1161, Town of Picton. Bounded towards the north by part Reserve D, 1699·4 links; towards the east by Section 1162, 371·6 links, and by Market Quay, 526·5 links; towards the south by Dublin Street, 1789·5 links; and towards the west by high-water mark along Shakespeare Road: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 38854, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting Control of a Reserve under “The Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by “The Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto in the Minister of the Crown for the time being having the administration of the said Act, and doth hereby declare that the said reserve shall be administered under the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 6b, Block I, Tarawera Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by the Puarenga River, towards the north-east and south-east generally by Section No. 6, Block I, Tarawera Survey District, and towards the south-west generally by Whakarewarewa No. 3 Section 1b Block; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 58057/20, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Amending the Description of a Reserve in the Auckland Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that where there has been any error of description made in any notification of any intended reserve, or where there appears a great discrepancy in the area of any intended reserve after the same shall have been surveyed, the Governor may cancel any notification that may have been made in respect of such reserve, and issue fresh notification in respect thereof, with amended particulars and description:
And whereas an error was made in the area of Section No. 58, Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey District, Auckland Land District, in the Warrants of the seventh day of May and twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 38, of the fourteenth day of May, and No. 52, of the second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eight, respectively, reserving the land for a public recreation-ground; and it is expedient to cancel the said notifications in so far as they relate to Section No. 58, Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey District, aforesaid:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrants of the seventh day of May and the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight, in so far as they relate to the said Section No. 58, Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey District, and do declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart as a reserve for a public recreation-ground, being the land intended to be reserved by the said notifications.
