EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 142, folio 275, for Sections 78, 79, 80, and 81 of the Town of South Rakaia, whereof JOSEPH BATTY, formerly of Cairnbrea, but now of Auckland, and THOMPSON MITCHELL, THE YOUNGER, formerly of Lyndhurst, but now of Lauriston, Farmers, are the registered proprietors, and application having been made to me for the issue of a provisional certificate of title, I hereby give notice that I will issue such provisional certificate of title at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

THE NATIONAL FIRE AND MARINE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the National Fire and Marine Insurance Company of New Zealand will be held at the Head Office, Rattray Street, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 1st day of October, 1908, at 11 a.m., when the subjoined resolutions, which were passed at the extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 3rd day of September, 1908, will be submitted for confirmation as special resolutions:—
(1.) That it is desirable to reconstruct the company, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that HENRY EDWARD WILLIAMS, of Dunedin, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.
(2.) That the said Liquidator be and is hereby authorised to consent to the registration of a new company, to be named “The National Insurance Company of New Zealand (Limited),” with a memorandum and articles of association, which have already been prepared with the privity and approval of the directors of this company.
(3.) That the draft agreement submitted to this meeting, and expressed to be made between this company and its Liquidator of the one part, and the National Insurance Company of New Zealand (Limited) of the other part, be and the same is hereby approved; and that the said Liquidator be and is hereby authorised, pursuant to section 259 of “The Companies Act, 1903,” to enter into an agreement with such new company (when incorporated) in the terms of the said draft, and to carry the same into effect, with such (if any) modifications as may be deemed expedient.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 302 of “The Companies Act, 1903,” that the office or place of business of the ROYAL INSURANCE COMPANY (LIMITED) for the Nelson and Westland Districts is situate at the office of the Wilkins and Field Hardware Company (Limited), in Hardy Street, in the City of Nelson.

HOROWHENUA CO-OPERATIVE POULTRY COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on Friday, 31st July, 1908, at the Century Hall, Levin, the following special resolutions were carried:—

  1. That the sale to Hudson and Marriott (Limited) of the assets of the company comprised in an agreement dated 16th June, 1908, and made between the company of the one part, and the said Hudson and Marriott (Limited) of the other part, be now confirmed, and that such sale and transfer be carried out upon the terms of the said agreement.
  2. That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1903,” and that Messrs. F. O. SMITH, S. A. BROADBELT, and W. RYDER be hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.
  3. That the Liquidators be directed to give effect to the agreement dated 16th June, 1908, made between the company of the one part, and Hudson and Marriott (Limited) of the other part.
    The said resolutions were subsequently duly confirmed at a meeting of the said company, duly convened, held at the office of Hudson and Marriott (Limited), Levin, on Friday, 28th August, 1908.
