Vesting a Reserve in the Geraldine County Council.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of September, 1908.

Present :
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for protective works, Upper Rangitata Bridge:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Geraldine County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Geraldine County, in trust, for protective works, Upper Rangitata Bridge.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 2852, Town of Arundel, Block VI, Orari Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Reserve No. 1237, 400 links; towards the east generally by the Rangitata River; towards the south by Bridge Road, 1266 links; and towards the west by Geraldine Street, 2030 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 58514/10, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Pongaroa Township, Wellington Land District.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was heretofore duly set apart for a site for a public library, being a reserve within Class I of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908”:

And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appropriated for municipal purposes, being a reserve within the said Class I:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” doth hereby declare that the said land shall, from and after the date hereof, be appropriated for municipal purposes under Class I of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.”

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 3, Block XI, Town of Pongaroa; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5205/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Pongaroa Township, Wellington Land District.

And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appropriated for a site for a public library, being a reserve within the said Class I:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” doth hereby declare that the said land shall, from and after the date hereof, be appropriated for a site for a public library under Class I of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.”

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 15, Block I, Town of Pongaroa; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5205/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Authorising the Exchange of a Portion of a Reserve in Canterbury Land District for other Land.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of September, 1908.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve heretofore duly set apart for plantation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the twelfth section of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” doth hereby declare that the said land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

Description of Portion of Reserve authorised to be exchanged. Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 81 acres 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, being portions of Rural Sections Nos. 34632 and 34633, Block VI, Westerfield Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-west corner of Rural Section No. 34633 aforesaid; bounded towards the north-west by Reserve No. 2671, 3127 links; towards the south-west by said reserve, 200·6 links; again towards the north-west by Rural Section No. 28490, 3883·9 links; towards the west by a right line bearing 173° 32′, 1112 links; towards the south-east by a right line bearing 237° 02′ to the Ashburton Forks Railway Reserve, 6155·3 links; and towards the south-west by the said railway reserve, 1306·9 links, to the commencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5207/1A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 81 acres 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section No. 36023, Blocks I, V, and VI, Westerfield Survey District. Bounded towards the south-west by the road forming the south-western boundary of said Section No. 36023, 12445·3 links; towards the north-west by Rural Section No. 32628, 658·27 links; towards the north-east by a right line parallel to the south-western boundary-line, 12445·1 links, to a road forming the south-eastern boundary of said Rural Section No. 36023; and towards the south-west by the last-named road, 658·27 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5207/1B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
