SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north generally by a right line from a point on the east bank of the Wanganui River bearing 305° 34′ from the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 13 on Plan No.1148, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, at Wellington, to the said northernmost corner of that allotment, and thence by Fox Street to its junction with Paterson Street; thence towards the north-east by Paterson Street; and towards the east by the continuation of Paterson Street in a southerly direction to its junction with No. 2 line of road on the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 29, Block V, Ikitara Survey District; thence towards the south-west by the said Section No. 29, Manawakowara No. 3 Block, the southern side of Blyth Street, and its production to the east bank of the Wanganui River; and thence towards the west by the Wanganui River to the place of commencement.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of September, 1908.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by “The Local Elections Act, 1904,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the hour at which the poll to be taken on a proposal to raise a loan, under “The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901,” in the Spreydon Road District, on the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight, shall close, to seven o'clock in the afternoon of the same day.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by “The Local Elections Act, 1904,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the hour at which the poll for the election to fill an extraordinary vacancy in the Spreydon Road Board, to be held and taken under “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” in the Spreydon Road District on the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eight, shall close, to seven o'clock in the afternoon of the same day.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, delegating powers to the Gate Pa Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint
HOWARD KERR,
GEORGE HARDING,
FREDERICK MOON,
HERBERT MANSELL, and
EDWIN REEVE
to be the Gate Pa Domain Board, having, subject to the said Act, control of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called the Gate Pa Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Monday, the fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, at half past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Chairman's residence, Gate Pa, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
GATE PA DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Allotments Nos. 41, 41A, and 42, Suburbs of Tauranga, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 6 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment No. 40, towards the south-east by Cameron Road, towards the south-west by Pa Street, and towards the north-west by Cook Street.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, being part of Allotment No. 13, Suburbs of Tauranga, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 31 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west by Cameron Road; towards the north-east by Allotment No. 12; towards the south-east by Allotment No. 14; towards the south-west by a public road forming the south-western boundary of the said Allotment No. 13; again towards the north-west by a right line at right angles to the said road, 200 links; and again towards the south-west by a right line parallel to the aforesaid road.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25698A, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

“The Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, 1908.”—Extension of the Time for the Temporary Employment of certain Officers of the Education Department.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of September, 1908.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by subsection two of section sixteen of “The Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may, by Order in Council, in any case in which he considers that the public interest so requires, authorise the temporary employment of any person or any class of persons for a longer period than is permitted by subsection one of the said section sixteen:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the period of temporary employment of clerks, attendants, and servants at industrial schools and schools for deaf and backward children be extended from six months to five years:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorise the temporary employment of clerks, attendants, and servants at industrial schools and schools for deaf and backward children for five years in lieu of six months.
