Consenting to closing Road through Section 2 of 20, Block IV,
Invercargill Hundred, Southland County.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh
day of September, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three,
(a), of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is enacted
that a local authority shall not declare any county or district
road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to
be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by
Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the Southland County Council has applied
for such consent in respect to the road described in the
Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-
in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the closing of the road
mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Karioi Survey District, Raglan County.

for such consent in respect to the road described in the
Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the
above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Go-
vernor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Raglan
County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule
hereto.

9, and 41r, Block VI, Town District, Dunedin, of a Width
less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh
day of September, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and twenty-eight
of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” it is,
inter alia, provided that where the configuration of any
borough is such as that within any particular area or areas
thereof it is difficult or inexpedient to construct streets of
the width of sixty-six feet as required by the said Act, the
Governor may, by Order in Council defining the limits of
such particular area or areas, authorise the Council to
permit within such area or areas the construction of streets
or private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not
less than forty feet:
And whereas the configuration of the City of Dunedin is
such that within the area described in the Schedule hereto
it is inexpedient to construct a street of sixty-six feet:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the
powers vested in him by “The Municipal Corporations Act,
1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in
this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
permit, within the area described in the Schedule hereto,
the laying-off of a street within the said area of a width less
than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land in the Land District of Otago, situate
in the City of Dunedin, comprising part of Sections 8, 9, and
41r, Block VI, Town District; as the said land is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 9920, de-
posited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
shown in pink border.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh
day of September, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a petition has been presented to the
Governor, under section one hundred and seventy-
six of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” praying
the Governor to alter the boundaries of the Borough of
Wanganui by including therein the area described in the
Schedule hereto: And whereas a notice showing the pro-
posed alteration in boundaries of the said borough has been
gazetted and publicly notified, and objections in writing
against such alteration were lodged by the Council of the
County of Wanganui and by the Road Board of the Purua
Road District: And whereas such objections have been duly
considered, and it is deemed expedient to make the altera-
tion prayed for in the said petition:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities vested in him by “The Municipal Corpora-
tions Act, 1900,” His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby declare that, as on and from the first day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, the area
described in the Schedule hereto shall be included in“ the
said Borough of Wanganui.
