- The lease shall be liable to forfeiture if the lessee fails to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

Flax Area in Marlborough Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for lease by public auction for a term of fourteen years, at this office, on Wednesday, the 21st October, 1908, at 11 o'clock a.m., for the purpose of growing, cutting, and removing flax, in accordance with the provisions of section 313 of “The Land Act, 1908,” and the regulations thereunder relating to flax leases.

Locality and Description.
This land is known as the Tua Marina Swamp. It is situated on the main road between Blenheim and Picton, about nine miles from Blenheim and ten miles from Picton. The area, which is intersected by the Tua Marina River, is practically all swamp land, covered with raupo and flax. The soil is of first-class quality, but difficult to drain owing to the flat nature of the country.
