Altitude, 60 ft. to 100 ft. The whole block is well watered, and is intersected by the Seaward Bush Railway. Distant from Invercargill from seven to ten miles. Accessible by formed road from Invercargill, and also by formed road from One-tree Point, distant two miles to north-west corner of Section 103. Sections 68 and 69 are being opened subject to Messrs. Leggat and Campbell’s right to remove the sawmilling timber from Section 68 within two years from the 25th June, 1908, and also subject to their having a tramway right through Sections 68 and 69 for the same period.

Altitude ranges from 80 ft. to 100 ft. The block is well watered. The Seaward Bush Railway runs along the south boundary of the block. Accessible by formed road to Section 1. Distant about three miles from Longbush Railway-station. Sections 6 to 10 are being opened subject to Messrs. Broad, Small, and Co.’s timber-cutting and tramway rights over these sections for a period of two years from the 25th June, 1908.

Opening Lands in Westland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on Wednesday, the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may be selected on renewable lease only, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-one of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metals, minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments.

About 25 acres of Section 2489 is swampy; the remainder of the area fairly level land of medium quality, carrying heavy bush of rimu, kamahi, and silver-birch. Pastoral land; well watered. Situated on south bank of the Okuru River, about seven miles from Okuru Post and Telephone Office and boat-landing. Access by river-bed.

Good pastoral land; soil good; well watered. Situated on south bank of the Okuru River, about five miles and a half from Okuru Post and Telephone Office and boat-landing. Access by river-bed.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, as the time at which the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
