Regulations under “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” extended to Election of Trustees of Separate Institutions.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section ninety-nine of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby declare and direct that the regulations dated the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and gazetted on the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight (dealing with irregularities at or in connection with any election of members of a Board by the contributing local authorities), shall extend and apply to elections of trustees of any separate institution by the contributing local authorities.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Declaring Election of Trustees of Otago Benevolent Institution void, and providing for Fresh Election.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section ninety-nine of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” and of the regulations made thereunder and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the election of trustees to represent contributing local authorities held on the second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seven, is void, and a fresh election shall take place on Thursday, the thirteenth day of February, at the Town Hall, Dunedin, at three p.m.; the presiding officer to be Alfred Chulee, Secretary to the Otago Benevolent Institution.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners appointed in pursuance of section 189 of “The Land Act, 1892,” to classify and report upon rural land in Southland Land District have reported to His Excellency the Governor that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been classified by them as therein noted.

P. 4,884 0 0 Bounded commencing at Kakanui Peak, thence south-easterly by summit of the Kakanui Mountains; on the east by road-line separating Waihemo District; on the south by road-line separating Block XIV, Swinburn District; on the south-west generally by main road and Sections 5 and 4, Block X, and on the north-west by the Shag River to its source, and by a right line to Kakanui Peak.
