Appointment of Trustees, Hastings Drill-shed.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act, 1888,” “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees Validation Act, 1890,” and “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1907” (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint
Acting-Major ANDREW HAMILTON RUSSELL, 4th Regiment, Wellington (East Coast) Mounted Rifle Volunteers;
Acting-Captain DAVID CANNING, Hawke’s Bay Mounted Rifle Volunteers;
Lieutenant ALLEN OWEN BISHOP, Hastings Rifle Volunteers;
EDWARD JAMES WATT, Esq., Longlands;
ROBERT DOUGLAS McLEAN, Esq., Maraekakaho; and
THOMAS EZEKIE CROSS, Esq., Hastings,
to be Trustees of all that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being part of the Heretaunga Block No. 28N, and being also the Sections Nos. 215 and 216 on the plan of the Township of East Hastings, deposited in the Deeds Registration Office, at Napier, as No. 83, the said parcel of land being bounded towards the south-east by Warren Street, 250 links; towards the south-west by Southampton Street, 200 links; towards the north-west by Section No. 214 on the said plan, 250 links; and towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 210 and 211 on the said plan, 200 links; together with all buildings erected thereon; to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Hastings Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve.” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1886,” “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act, 1888,” “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees Validation Act, 1890,” and “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1907” (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint
Captain EDWARD CUTTEN, Active List;
Lieutenant JAMES FINDLAY, V.D., Retired List;
Lieutenant EDWIN TAYLOR CHAPMAN, Temuka Rifle Volunteers; and
WILLIAM G. ASPINALL, Esq., Solicitor, Temuka,
to be Trustees of all that piece of land being part of Reserve No. 168 on the map of the Chief Surveyor of the Province of Canterbury, setting out and describing the rural lands in the said province, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, commencing at the north-west corner of the said reserve, thence following easterly the northern boundary thereof, a distance of 2 chains 24 links in a rectangular block, being bounded on the westward by Rural Section No. 3699; together with all buildings erected thereon; to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Temuka Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Arrangements for First Election, &c., Moutoa Drainage Board.

WALTER BOCK, of Foxton,
to be Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of five members of the Board of Trustees of the Moutoa Drainage District, as constituted under “The Land Drainage Act, 1904”; also to appoint Wednesday, the 11th day of March, 1908, to be the date, and the Borough Council Chambers, Foxton, to be the place, for holding such first election; and also to appoint Wednesday, the 18th day of March, 1908, at half past 7 o’clock in the afternoon, to be the day and the hour, and the said Borough Council Chambers, Foxton, to be the place, at which the first meeting of Trustees shall be held.
